One-of-a-kind. While walking to the car after a meeting, an interior designer asked if I was interested in submitting a proposal, “Something Nevelsonesque”, for a driveway island at a private residence in Brookline, MA. The plan was accepted after a structural engineer determined the design could withstand 100 MPH winds. The teak carcass is bolted to three 4” x 12’, powder coated, aluminum I beams, which bolt to a concrete footing.
